Well apparently Xanga misses me because I just got an e-mail. But I realize there's some things I can blog about here that I can't elsewhere. Whether or not someone reads it...well most likely not...which makes it better for me to blog here about certain things (which I will in a few), while not having people misinterpret my entry worrying if "I'm OK."
I guess I'm OK. No, I am OK. But there's some things that prevent my life from being good.
I'm satisfied, but not settled. As in, I'm still moving. But what makes a person happy?
I'm single, but does a relationship really make me happy? Should I be looking in hopes that someone will make me happy?
I'm working, but will a better job or a better position make me happy?
I've got friends, but will having more friends or being closer to the friends I have now make me happy? Will surrounding myself with friends make me happy?
I can do stuff, but will I be happier if I keep trying to do that stuff (like hobbies) until I'm better than other people at it?
Happiness is subjective. People can tell me what I can do to be happy, but I want to be happy for what I am, who I am, and what I do now...but being on the move makes me happy too. Change can happen in any aspect of life, whether it's relationships, family, job, status, health, etc. What we do with ourselves and how we deal can determine what makes us happy.
Heck, my religion keeps me happy. I know I got someone watching my back, even when life goes down the toilet. But if I know someone's got my back, in the bad times, I know it happens for a reason; let's find out why!
Basically says, right-to-left: "If you run off by yourself without your dad, we'll never be able to see each other ever again"
Then she's crying out "I'm Yotsuba Koiwai! I'm Yotsuba Koiwai!".
Panel under: "See? Didn't I tell you it'd be dangerous if you ran off on your own?"
Under: "Festivals are dangerous! Ena and Miura should also be careful!"
Tip of the day: Never ever buy a used controller from Gamestop (much less a used system that isn't refurbed), even if it's an official controller.
Quick background: My PS2 controller got ganked at ACen, bought a used one to replace it. Thought, "hey, it's 100% Guaranteed by Gamestop, and it's only a Sony controller, what could go wrong?"
I went through at least 5 Gamestops and 6 controllers. I FINALLY found two controllers (that weren't black) that WORK.
I went through 4 ocean blue dualshock 2 controllers, all had a working START button (which is dandy and all...if you don't care to actually play the game), and 2 of them had a problem with one of the directions being held down constantly.
1 smoke DS2 didn't work at all.
1 black DS2 worked fine, except the left analog was screwy (either that or there was something faulty, because if I shook the controller a little, it would automatically hit O for me).
I found it more humorous to give 3 Gamestops my name and address. I'm sure someone in corporate is going to LOVE me after they get back 6 defective controllers (heck, one of the Gamestop emloyees said, "wow that's not going to look good for the company").
"100% guaranteed" my butt. I should complain to Gamestop corporate for false advertising.
